I've purchased a re-buildable core and kit. I'm confident that it will all work out.
Just FYI, I did not buy that carb on ebay. Seller replied that the threads weren't bunged and and that that was sealer in the picture. Nevertheless I wasn't interested.
I'll post pictures on the progress and result.
