Ya, that's what I figured. I always prefer repaired original stuff to new parts where possible unless its NOS.

This carb was operating fine since I got the truck running last May. It's only been within the last month or so that the problems developed. Because of this I tend to think that the problem has more to do with its age and deterioration rather than warpage of the body. Perhaps ethanol ruined the gaskets.
