Will your spin-on filter-head have a bypass feature (in case the filter gets clogged)? As I recall, you have a 1959 261.

If yes, would please post a manufacturer/part-number?

Maybe they all have a clogged-filter bypass? Or, maybe it does not matter - change the filter regularly?

The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
