You will notice that the 30MPH test gets a little less than 30 mpg. Of course we know this isn't real life loaded in a truck with a few tons involved, so this is a baseline test to see how DIFFERENT the HEI system will be in the very same circumstances.
The O2 Sensor is quite useful and I didn't really expect it to be. You can tweak your fuel mixture screw to get really nice balance. (before any testing, not during!). Of course, that mixture screw also changes proper timing and engine operation, so the best way to leverage the information is by changing the jet in the carb I think. (but it's still new to me)
I have to get a steel pipe for my test stand to replace the rubber one.. it just gets too hot and starts smoking, so tomorrow I am going to the muffler shop to get a steel pipe THEN resume testing.
