Now that those pesky Volts, Ohms, and Current, issues have made some sense to you. You had to add "Dwell" to the conversation. Keep tinkering Deve. The only way to learn something is with both hands and minds. I have no doubt that HEI is an improvement over "Points, Coil". I am reminded however on the efforts to make Flat Heads run better. Lots of work for little gains(opinion, I know). The use of "High Performance" items on an engine with limited breathing and RPM range, in a Truck is about as Exotic as it gets. Keeping the Stock parts unmolested is a very good thing. We won't see more in the future. Enjoy and have some fun. Nice project with a good outcome.
