Thanks everyone who responded to my previous starter post. My starting problems are over.
As it turns out, the starter I got from Chevy Duty was junk. It had several problems. So instead of sending it back and taking a chance on more junk I had it rebuilt instead.
In addition, I had them put in high torque field coils and now my truck starts better than my S10!
It really spins fast now. I'm running a 6 volt battery that has 650 CCA. I was going to go for the Optima but with the upgraded starter there's no need . I'll post some pictures of my truck in the next few days.
