It used to sit in my grandpa's barn and when I was little I'd run down to it and pretend to drive it. For my 13th birthday he gave it to me, and I've been restoring it ever since! I put oil, a new battery, and gas in it and it started right up! I learned some history on it and found out it was part of a trade my grandpa did with my uncle for a 69' MGB- A trade my uncle would regret... My uncle obtained it when he was on a demolition job site, they were about to bulldoze a barn when my uncle asked if any one had checked if anything was inside. Turns out no-one did, he found the truck sitting inside with the original plate still on it. He asked if he could have it and they said to take it. It sat in his barn till he traded my grandpa. Turns out it ended up sitting for nearly 50 years! I have been restoring it ever since and I'm only 18. Pics: http://s850.photobucket.com/user/Chevrolet46/library/?sort=3&page=1I also own a 1946 Chevy 2 Ton stake bed, I picked this up in Montague, CA for $400 3 years ago. Best investment ever! Most every thing was there, and just like the pick-up a little oil, battery gas, and BAM! Amazing thing about Chevys, they run no-matter what! I have the original title and commercial hauling licence for 1953. It was a old roofing truck so it needs alot of body work, but its a runner! I have recently put new tires on it and hope it will hit the road by next year. You have good taste in model years! I have always like that body style. I grew up with a '46 1 ton pickup that my Dad had. I could have bought it back a few years ago, but it was too far gone for a guy of my abilities.

I just got a new bed for it and I'm currently putting it together. I dont think I have any photos of the new tires yet either, so expect those shortly!
I forgot to mention the 1/2T has 18,720 original miles and the 2T has 12,348 original miles- not too bad huh?

That is great you are only 18 and enjoy these trucks. It takes me back to my high school days in the early 90's and my 64 impala ss.
