My red/white '66 Chevy C10 long wheel base fleetside truck was just stolen from my apartment on Southwest Blvd. in Kansas City, KS. I saw the truck peeling out from my parking lot and within a minute I flagged down a police car, that was passing by.

Geez. Hope it turns up somewhere unscathed.

I hope your truck is found safe and sound quickly. Sorry to hear about yet another theft.

I hope that they find your truck and without damage. Its a darn shame that people cant be honest and work hard for things instead of being thiefs.

Now I know why I don't own a gun...I saw the truck driving away, as I stood on my 2nd floor balcony at 3:30 am!

Tony, it may be headed "out of town" and you can bet if it shows up down my way on I-85 or I-26 or around some of the car/truck events around here you'll definitely get it back. I promise!

You've got eyes in NC also. If it pops up around here, you'll be the 1st to know. Also...did you get my address change for the grill? I moved last weekend, I did get the throttle linkage in though...nice piece as usual.

I'll keep my eyeballs peeled in case it heads in this direction. I really hope it is found safe and sound!

Nothing worse than a thief. Ya know, we used to hang horse thieves and it was a darn good deterent! Somewhere we went astray.

We'll keep an eye out for it up here Tony... it out to be easy for the boys in blue to spot!

Tony, just a thought. If someone puts a nice paint job on it and it becomes sort of "disquised" is there a particular thing like a mark or something unusual you can remember about it that we could look for and know its the one?

Sorry to hear of your loss. Nothing worse than getting ripped off. I doubt that it will make it this far but I'll keep my eyes out in Washington state. Worse case would be ripped off by chop shop and parts and pieces up for sale. We should all be aware of that also. Good luck to you.

I drive down Southwest Blvd. every day on the way home from work. I'll keep an eye out and let you know if I see anything.

I'll put out the red alert on lilrd66! This really stinks to say the least.

In Texas it woulda been legal to shoot him... good luck finding the truck, the word is out on a lot of different forums.

Thanks for everyone's efforts in posting on other sites and keeping their eyes open for LILRD66. It may turn up, but I am not holding my breath. It had a dead batter and was parked between my 2000 Tahoe and my '66 Suburban, so the perp had a plan to steal Lil Red.

Thanks for all of the "good lucks" and maybe I will be blessed with Lil Red being found and returned.

hope you get it back, Tony...i'll be on the lookout as well...my grandfather's 75 GMC truck got stolen off his carport earlier this year...it has sat there visibly for 30 years or so and never been touched...only takes one lunatic to ruin it all...good luck

Highly unlikely it will cross the border, but I'll be sure to keep an eye open for it. Hope you find it and the loser who took it.

I'm afraid "first 48 hours" is over. It's time to fight with the insurance company.

Sure sorry to hear about your truck. Don't give up though, years ago I had my Blazer stolen from my front yard. I had just finished fixing it up and had painted it. After a couple of weeks I had given it up for lost. Thought I would go to an auction to try and forget about it. On the way, travelling down a seldom used country road there it was parked in an old laneway! One mirror was broken and a rim bent but otherwise OK. Just goes to show that you never know what can happen.

When I think about the dirty rat joy-riding in LILRD66, I get annoyed, so I just keep the faith, that it will be returned. As everyone on this site knows, our old vehicles become a part of us, so losing one, is a bummer, but I am confident they will get what they have coming to them and maybe I will get Lil Red back!

I received the most improbable call yesterday afternoon from the local PD. They found LILRED at a local hospital, abandoned, but intact. I payed the tow bill and one day storage fees, and drove her back to the shop. The bed had been spray-bombed flat black, the license plate removed and the 4-5-6 Chevy Truck magnets were taken, otherwise she was in unmolested condition. I feel really blessed to have her back and thanks to all those, that were keeping an eye out for her.

i hoped that you went out and bought a lotto ticket? you were pretty lucky.

Tony, Glad to hear that! I had one stolen too. PS buy the correcct insurance you need, takes the sting out of it.
