For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 6 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 6 | well i see that most of ya are easterners so i figured id help represent the westerners. im a new bolter and new to forums entirely so pardon me on my posting etiquette. the link is of my sweetest project. its as far as i know a 52 chevy 4400. a saved it from being cut up for scrap. i had to beg my parents cuz i already have a 79 camaro project, or to them "lawn ornaments." i so badly wish for it to be in a drivable state. id be driving it everywhere.

Doesn't really look like a big bolt though, you sure it isn't a one-ton. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 6 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 6 | well i used the vin decoder on this site and and it confirmed its a 52 4400 161 wheelbase and built in kansas city, MO. ill post a pic of the sideview. i just took the seat out today. it seems it was a motel 6 for the mice. but for siting for 20 years its in a pretty good state. there is a small hole in the roof so the inside is pretty rusted up. but theres hardly any dents. the other trucks on the property dont even come close. especially since they're cut up. if i would have know about this site beforehand, i would have stopped them from scrapping them. its a shame
im in the tri-cities so ur not to far away in spokane.

I like the looks of your truck. What are your plans for it? Jim | | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 6 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 6 | well i want to keep it as original as i can except for the brakes im going to update to a split system for sure. im going to try to make it into a snowmobile hauler. i want to put an auxilary fuel cell on the right side desguised as a utility box and the other side will just have the utility box. that way i wont have to haul gas cans. here in the tri-cities we have a couple car shows and after i completed my build id enteer it in a couple dozen times to make sure everyone here new what an advanced design truck is. and since it was a farm truck i figured it deserves to run in our local fair parade at least once. nothing of course is set in stone and it will be a long way off anyway. i love dreaming about it though. | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 91 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2011 Posts: 91 | hey, it would appear that we are both from the west, new to this site, and we've just purchased big bolt chevys. i found a 41 chevy 1.5 ton long wheelbase that had been sitting for over 50 years on a ranch. got it cleaned up, now the work begins. good luck to you. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 76 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 76 | Hey Fletch ; Did you really tow that big bolt with a Honda? | | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 6 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 6 | i had to use a semi to get mine home. i wish it could of came home under its own power though. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 | Congrats!
