For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 32 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 32 | Man I have wanted an old truck for as long as I can remember. Well 2 weeks ago I was at the Tractor Supply store here in NJ and this beauty of a 46 came rolling in the parking lot. So I waited until the owner went in the store and then proceeded over to take a closer look. As it turns out he had a for sale sign on it!so back into the store I went and got to talkin to the guy and it turns out he was in the midst of a rather dirty divorce and had to sell his pride and joy! Well 3 days and $8500 later it now sits in my driveway. Here some pics I hope this works http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/paintman27/IMG_3354.jpghttp://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/paintman27/IMG_3339.jpghttp://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/paintman27/IMG_3338.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/paintman27/IMG_3348.jpg | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 32 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 32 | | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 32 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 32 | | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 | Welcome to the Stovebolt forum. That looks like a nice truck. You have probably saved yourself a lot of money in the long run!! I love the stance of it. YOu didn't say what engine is in it but I'll bet its not stock I think you did good. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 738 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 738 | That is a beauty! The one crazy thing about the truck is if you closely at this pic you will see a large patch plat on the rear of the cab. I talked to the guy that I bought the truck off of and he said he has no idea why the patch was put there by the orginal owner. He removed the seat and showed me the back of the cab from the inside. The orginal metal is still there and shows absolutely no rust or dings from the inside. The only thing we can think of is that there is a treasure map painted on the backside of the cab. Iguess I'll find out when it comes time to repair and paint it. Look close at this pic and you will see the patch on the back of the cab.
