I have a few ideas that require drilling/cutting that i am straying away from but am getting close to using the headlights with integrated turn signals but wanted to know if anyone had any ideas as to how to hide a set of turn signals. My truck is fenderless so it is a bit difficult to mount turn signals without having them stick out like a sore thumb.

Do you have front parking lights? Or you could just hide some small lights behind the radiator grille.

Maybe check out the after market Harley Davidson accessorie catalogs ..there are some pretty nice small billett & chrome lights being produced that may mount an look great on your rod?
or at least would be small enough to hide behind the grill or maybe below the front bumper??

good idea...
i can do stuff way cooler and far more difficult to see than any existing parts (it'll be right in front of your eyes in plain sight and you wont see it kinda stuff using fiber optics) but it requires cutting the original sheet metal. im not quite ready for that... so maybe just motorcycle parts for now.

i find the idea of cutting 70 year old metal (and interfering with the old patina while your at it) harder than dumping a girl because shes not blond enough 5 minutes before new years.

no all the lighting is from scratch. i just converted my stock headlights to replaceable halogens but theres not a bit of wiring in the truck yet either.. I've built the harnesses and would really like to have the turn signals in the headlight buckets somewhere ... but i dont know how i want to do it and keep it discrete. there is a company that makes headlights with turn signals in the light itself but that only works for the front and i like the headlight setup i have now (its not a crystal-clear lense like the new ones so it keeps that built in the 50s-60s look).

i might just have to add some side markers to the underside of the headlight buckets or something of that sort. i know there is a simple and much much better way to do this, i just am having trouble thinking creatively enough right now i guess.

You've said you already have changes out your headlights, but when I still had my KW I had the old style Peterbilt bugeye headlights installed on it, and they had high beam indicators on the top of the chrome surround that you could see from the drivers seat that looked really unique. Maybe something like that would work for your turn signals also. Just a thought.

You can use these. Which are period correct for 38. Look at the "skirts" link in my sig to see what they look like on a vehicle. They are correct for cars and trucks. Chevs is getting pretty proud of theirs I see. If you want that type of light call Kool Rides @ 620/442-8500 and ask about theirs. They have one, like what is in the link, on the shelf marked $75 that has the park/turn signal set up. I don't know if they have a pair in stock but they can order them.

I'm not sure what your after or the set up you have but recently I saw a truck that the guy had drilled a small hole in the bottom of the headllight bucket and installed one of those small orange lens type lights. It look good and out of the way on his truck. I think it had to do with just where he placed it. It was not stuck out front for everyone to notice but was not toward the back so far no one could see it. Am I making any sense?

Somebody makes headlight bulbs with built-in turn signals in the bottom part of the bulb housing so there is no seperate turn signal unit, you just connect your turn/park wires at the back of the bulb next to the main headlight connections. I just cant remember where I saw them. Sorry not more help.
