For whatever it's worth, I've spent some quality time with "Mater" painting the grill and bumpers, putting the rear license plate bracket on painting the side spear, and just some overall putzin', so I decided to go take a few quick pics because it was nice out. smile

Craig,

I really like the updated white paint added as accent color since your gallery pictures. It looks great!

I'll bet its nice to have it out on the road again with your spring weather. Here in Minnesota, I'll need to wait a couple of weeks before I get my truck out of storage.

Again, great looking truck.
Brian

Beater hell, thats just character! It's funny how just a little touch up seems to make a big difference. Mine needs a heck of lot more than some touch up! grin

You painted the concrete bumper?

You picked some nice backgrounds for the shots.

No, I, uh, well, I know the concrete-filled aftermarket step-bumper was popular and everything, and I realize it was one-of-a-kind and had all kinds of "character" and stuff, but, it just, um, I HATED IT! Okay! I hated it. There, I said it. It was a heavy, rusty piece of crapola. I left it in the dumpster at the muffler shop when I had them torch the bolts off for me. eek grin

Anyway, thanks, guys. I know my truck's got a few issues, but it's cool that you went ahead and said nice things anyway. I appreciate it. cool

That is not a beater! What a great lookin old truck. I like it a lot, the 63 is a very unique truck. I have a 61 and they are my favorites. The 60-63, with the wraparound window and all of the stuff. Anyways, that is a captivating beater.

Yeah, as a matter of fact, I did take my three-year-old with me. We really have fun hanging out together and messing with this old truck. Truth be told, he's the main reason I bought it.

We were sitting there outside waiting for that train to come by, because he loves trains. That's why we took that picture. He also wanted a picture by the clock tower, because he heard the bell and thought that would be neat. I thought it was too far away to get a picture, but he was persistent, so we found a place that would work for that, and it turned out to be the best background. He also thought it was pretty cool to drive in that tunnel, and even though that picture didn't turn out that great, that's the one where he said, "I can't wait to get home and tell mom about the tunnel!" Good stuff! grin

Anyway, thanks, guys! smile

Nah, I save the patronizing for my wife's "does this make me look fat?????" Trucks don't need us to lie. grin grin grin grin
