I wanted to make sure it still went foward, backward and stopped before I took it to the upholstery shop today. Fortunately he is not busy right now and he said it would be finished by the end of the week. A few minor thing to finish up and It will be done I can't wait. It's been a long haul but It's lookin good. Good to hear from you! I've wondered what you have been up to. Isn't it amazing how much time these trucks can take and before you know it - 2 /12 years go by. Same thing with me! I just started mine yesterday after 2 1/2 years. Now I'm on a roll! Looks like you are, too! Good luck and keep in touch!!

I know you've done a bunch of work to that truck. | | | | Joined: Mar 2000 Posts: 784 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2000 Posts: 784 | Thanks guys. I've emailed a couple of photos to 46 in progress so you can see what I've been up to. It's not quite done but all that's left is the small stuff. There's always something else to do on these things.
It's been alot of work, but it's also been a great journey. There's nothing like learning new things. I knew nothing about restoring a truck before I bought my 46, 4 years ago and now with the help of all the sotvebolters here I've done it. It's going to be a great feeling when I get it out on the road and take to my first show. Thanks again 46 in progress for posting my pictures. Man o man is that a good lookin' truck. I can't believe how far along it's come since I visited you. I can see that you've really been paying attention to the details. I was thinking about making wood stake sides for my truck like that too. | | | | Joined: Mar 2000 Posts: 784 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2000 Posts: 784 | Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's been a long row to hoe but worth it. I'm going to pick it up from the upholster today. Then back to the painter to get the beltline painted. John when you are down this direction again come on over and we'll take a drive. George | | | | Joined: May 2003 Posts: 1,271 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: May 2003 Posts: 1,271 | WOW! Holy-Moly!
