Finally after 2 1/2 years I got my truck back out on the road on sunday. I wanted to make sure it still went foward, backward and stopped before I took it to the upholstery shop today. Fortunately he is not busy right now and he said it would be finished by the end of the week.

A few minor thing to finish up and It will be done smile smile I can't wait. It's been a long haul but It's lookin good.

If you are like the rest of us (bolters) it's never done. And that is a good thing.

I wish I could post some pictures, but you see I do my web surfing from work which doesn't allow me to set up a web host. If someone wants to post a couple of pics I can email them.

Thanks George

Hey, George! Good to hear from you! I've wondered what you have been up to.

Isn't it amazing how much time these trucks can take and before you know it - 2 /12 years go by. Same thing with me! I just started mine yesterday after 2 1/2 years. Now I'm on a roll! Looks like you are, too! Good luck and keep in touch!!

Thanks guys. I've emailed a couple of photos to 46 in progress so you can see what I've been up to. It's not quite done but all that's left is the small stuff. There's always something else to do on these things.

It's been alot of work, but it's also been a great journey. There's nothing like learning new things. I knew nothing about restoring a truck before I bought my 46, 4 years ago and now with the help of all the sotvebolters here I've done it. It's going to be a great feeling when I get it out on the road and take to my first show.

Thanks again 46 in progress for posting my pictures.

George, congradulations!! I'm going thru the same with my '56. After 2 1/2 years of restoration, I fired it up Sunday--sounded good!! But, have a bit of tweaking to do before it hits the street. I'm getting there--glad you already are!

2-1/2 years to put a smile on George's face that will take many years to erase.

Hi George, I've been staring at those pics for the last couple of days now. Man o man is that a good lookin' truck. I can't believe how far along it's come since I visited you. I can see that you've really been paying attention to the details. I was thinking about making wood stake sides for my truck like that too.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's been a long row to hoe but worth it. I'm going to pick it up from the upholster today. Then back to the painter to get the beltline painted.

John when you are down this direction again come on over and we'll take a drive.
