Put the new waterpump pulley on yesterday. Wish I had smaller hands! Got too cold to stay out there in the street, so I'll put the belt on today and fire it up. Hope nothing blew when it overheated.

Its gonna make it over 60 here today so ole blue is coming out for a spin. Then its pull the right rear axle and replace a leaking grease seal. I may take out the bedwood and refinish it while I've got the truck jacked up.....and a few other little things it needs..fix the speedometer cable, find a power steering leak. Next summer will be here before we know it.

Got a number of odds and ends done on Dusty today. grin Hooked up the parking brake properly, installed throttle linkage, spot painted some areas under the frame (rust proofed), installed radio and lighter plugs after painting and discussed rewiring with the neighbor. Tomorrow, adjust and bleed the brakes and whatever else pops up! grin What a GREAT way to start off 2005--work on a Bolt! grin

It got to 60deg here after 4deg last week, so I spent about half the day in the garage putting in new undercarpet insulation and padding. Also ran some wiring from front to back across the floor so I won't have to mess with it later.

Brian is right...A great way to start the year!

Had three blissfully uninterrupted hours working on installing the rear brakes on my 4400. Went from bare backing plates to hubs on! First real stretch of work on the truck in about three years. Very good evening!!

i only asked because i woke up at 6am and since i don't drink this is as good as it gets, so i thought til i got the old truck out and took a ride. between the first post and second i made a trip to walmart and got some good reaction from people there. made me feel even better. it is also fun to watch the wipers work only at 55mph then stick til i can speed up again. i am still trying to post a picture of the trucks but computers fight me all the way. ron

I drove The Ox into town and got gas, Diet Coke and Ice Cream (2 half gallon's)...

I also filled my mower and chainsaw gas containers... sure glad the wife pays my credit card bills.

I got several hoots, a holler and a bunch of thumbs up (at least they looked like thumbs)...

and NO traffic ticket!!!!

Finished up the painless wiring harness. Good stuff. It all worked no problemos just read directions and think a lot. I used an old gauge cluster for my 54 that I cut the back out of and then cut a wood circle for the after market gauges H20, volts, oil and I rigged up a high beam indicator and turn signals. Made a ground/light bus from radio shack. Any way got in a hurry after I had tested it and broke the glass putting it back in. I'm 36. At what age does patience take over? Happy new year.

This website is the closest I'll get to my bolt today. I guess I will just look at my 1952 6400 sitting out next to the garage (won't fit in it). Besides I dropped the insurance for the winter. I keep threatening to put up a pole building but we also talk about moving. Can't see putting up a building then moving.

I want to go look at a 49 dump truck today but can't get ahold of the owner.

the question about patience, i am 61 and iam still not there. my computer is running real slow this morning and i am thinking about buying a new one. but the money i use for it could be used for the truck, what is another ten seconds of processing time i asked my self. will drive the truck to work today, i work from 3-7, but i left the truck out of my extra garage so i wouldn't tear up the yard, no driveway. temps in central indiana mid 50s all week. i am semiretired so have to watch funds. ron

I'm working on fabbing a one-off 1 piece front end for the truck. It's a really agressive piece, witha raised hood, and massive grill. bondo, sanding, clean , bondo, sanding , clean, bondo, sanding, clean, you get the idea. Once I have the front all smooth and clean I will make the mold for the front end, as it will be 1 piece composite, tilting forward. It will make the truck look mean as hell. I am also going to fab some steel teeth for the grill that will be chromed and them set into the front end. It's a huge project for 1 guy, I've been at it for 2 weeks already and expect to start the mold on the 4th or 5th. Now I just have a few days of block sanding to get it really straight.

I will post pics on my website later for all to see.!!

Hauled all of the replaced Christmas presents from years past to the Goodwill donation window. Why do we buy so much junk? Half of the truck load went to the dumpster,

Still trying to organize my tools. Went to drain the gas the other day, and found out rather unpleasantly throiugh the drain plug there was quite a bit more than I thought. I'll siphon tomorrow, replace with fresh, and see if she'll start. It's only been since August since I brought it home grin
