Was fortunate enough to come across a 1949 Chevrolet 3100 that all it needed was driving. Drive train had been updated to a 235 from the stock 216. Enjoying learning about it and hope to learn more from this website.

They are having "truck night" theme for the Cruise Night on Sept. 11th at the Whataburger in Tyler. had one in my 52 but I had a machine shop to do a little work
and make my gear shift taller.... your shifter looks like
it is in the same place as mine..

Also 10 bolt rear, front disc brakes on original chassis. Since the pictures, I built and installed wood bed rails out of spalted pecan and black walnut, and replaced the S-10 wheels with steel wheels.
I am interested in changing the shifter to look more period correct. May have to get with you on what you did to yours. | | |
