Was fortunate enough to come across a 1949 Chevrolet 3100 that all it needed was driving. Drive train had been updated to a 235 from the stock 216. Enjoying learning about it and hope to learn more from this website.

That '52 of yours is a good looking street rod that is probably great to cruise in.
There are quite a few good looking rides at the cruise night in Tyler on the second Thursday night of each month. You ought to try to make one of those. | | | | Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 333 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 333 | Hello Joker,

Maybe they were having problems at the website when you tried. Let me know if it still doesn't work for you. I need to post some new pics but my laptop crashed and am waiting to get a new one. | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | wow, what a neat truck, do you have s-10 transmission, had one in my 52 but I had a machine shop to do a little work and make my gear shift taller.... your shifter looks like it is in the same place as mine.. Also 10 bolt rear, front disc brakes on original chassis. Since the pictures, I built and installed wood bed rails out of spalted pecan and black walnut, and replaced the S-10 wheels with steel wheels.
I am interested in changing the shifter to look more period correct. May have to get with you on what you did to yours. | | |
