as many on this site have said, It's your truck do whatever you want with it" and I agree, however your choice will probably affect its resale value unless your buyer has the same tastes and frame of mind as you the seller. My own opinion is there are plenty of like minded potential buyers out there, Original or modified.
I recall one show I was at with my modified Suburban where a complete stranger came up to me and gave me holy he$$( for destroying a rare body style. I tried to explain that I wanted to be able to drive it anywhere and not impede traffic. You can't tell my Sub from stock unless you open the hood or get under it but he kept at me so I finally told him to go
find his own truck and do whatever he wants to it and I would never tell him what to do. He finally left me alone.
