Agreed. In that vein my '38 isn't "original" any longer but the restoration was pretty faithful to the original look and equipment. The reason prices for original vehicles is shooting up is that there are so few of them left. When you go to a car show you see row after row of lowered, SBC powered vehicles of different colors. Other than color and a few accessories they are all the same. Then there's my '38 standing tall and proud looking very nearly how it did when new. It's always a hit at shows and Grundy amazes me at how much they think it's worth. Different strokes for different folks but it's only original once. I really wish I hadn't had to paint mine but the rust worms were winning so attention was required.
