I'd pull the spark plugs and put some oil in the cylinders,
Done, did that 1st thing.
turn it over to oil cylinders.
Done, turned it by hand to make sure there was no binding then spun it w/the plugs out w/the starter
Get yourself some "new" spark plugs and install them.
Done. The originals didn't look that bad
Make sure you have good spark at the spark plugs.
Good spark verified w/a spark tester at each plug
Leave the choke alone and give it a try.
I've tried w/choke open, partially open & fully closed.It seemed closer to starting w/the choke on partially and the throttle wide opn
I haven't checked the timing yet as I wouldn't think that it could get that much off from sitting, but then again I really had to file the points and the gap could be off now.
I've got new points, rotor and dist cap and I'm thinking on geting back to the ign part again. Since I haven't done them I can't rule them out.
I'm told the truck was running when they parked it but I can't help but wonder why they parked it. Could be it was hard to start
Hope to get back on it sometime this week or weekend.
