Jerry, thats an admirable vocation. I used to scoot around back in the day, but nowadays I tool around in a small 4 wheeler (72 Ghia) I just recently got back roadable. It's not as fun as a bike but for me it's more comfortable
Kurt, I'm leaning more towards your train of thought also. It just may need a carb full of good gas inorder to start. I'm not having any luck just pooring it down the throat

Sorry men but I have failed y'all. Once again life got in between me & some time on the 3100. Couple some promised honey-do's w/some kin coming in from out of town for the big football game (which we lost) and all I managed to do was put the new plugs in. Spark is good but they made no change. I cleaned up around the timimg hole a bit and couldn't locate the pointer that the flywheel bee-bee lines up on but I really didn't spend a whole lot of time looking. I may need to tempoarily disconnect the manual starter linkage inorder to get a clossr unobstructed view of that area. Timeing cvould still be off but I'm going to concentrate on the fuel delivery system next.
Oh, one of my visitors over the weekend was one of Glee's (original owner) son and he hadn't seen the truck since they moved it to the barn back in the 80's. He recalled learning to drive in that truck
He shared lots of stores. It's amazing that even tho that truck isn't running yet, it still managed to "drive" him down memory lane
