Rats! Still no charge. I jumped the Field terminal on the gen to the housing on the gen at the bracket. Still 12.5v across the battery at all RPMs.

Here's the generator. See anything wrong? I painted it a few months ago. I tried to clean all spots that paint might insulate. (The black tag implies a 6v gen ... it's a fake that I riveted to the 12v gen.)

I may have to delay pulling the generator. I'm getting ready for a really great show in a few weeks. I'm working on windows, garnish, paint touch up, gauges, wheels, and a leaking carb, plus wax and detail. Too many irons in the fire! The truck will be able to make it to the show and back w/o a working generator if I don't get to it in time.
