Well, hello again my friends. I feel like I know ya'll.Anyway, here's the scoop. I removed the regulator cover,Started the engine and went around to the other side to read the voltage. It was around 15.5V. So I began loweing the voltage at the regulator while keepin a check on the battery voltage. To hit the mark of 14.8v-14.9v was not an easy task. I made a bunch of trips around the truck. I finally got 14.8v With the cover off and just as you said when I put the cover back on it read around 14.7 volts./// Now I turned the engine off and turned the head lights on for about 10 minutes. When I started the engine I got a small amount of movement to the + side of the center 0. I reved the engine a pretty good bit but it (the needle) never went over any more. I know it's charging but the gauge really doesn't show it. I know ya'll must be tired of foolin' with me. If you are it's OK. I am glad I found someone to help me.
