Hello Fellows, Well, I'll give you an update. I bought a new battery, followed all the steps that both of you gave me and I think I may have narrowed it down to two choices.The Generator (Output 11.52 volts) or the (gauge may be not working.) Here is the following: Generator voltage, running at medium speed, 11.52 volts--Voltage at battery, also running at medium speed, 12.06. Voltage at regulator (battery term.) 11.66 volts. Armatuer voltage at regulator 11.56 volts. On test #6 I noticed that the engine pulled down but no change in gauge reading,a needle width or so discharging. I will take the generator off today and see if the brushes need replacing and also do the test that the shop manual gives. Keep talking to me- I listen and thanks for everything.
