Hey Sable surfer...your calling the wrong people. PTO parts are easily available from any Spicer/Chelsea or Muncie powerdrives distributor. Also any truck equipment dealer carries a lot of this stuff if they have a decent parts dep't. Just check out the Yellow Pages for KC. Knapheide, American Equipment, Kranz Automotive, a lot of places have this stuff. Use paper gaskets of the correct thickness, no cork as cork is only for the cover plate. And yes the gaskets do set up the gear backlash so ignore Wrenchbender advice about a "thick" gasket. It'll whine when engaged if it's tight and clatter if it's too loose. Do Not use any gasket goo. Definately use the copper washers and you may even want to replace the studs. It's all pretty cheap. If I'm sounding authoritative about this it's because I sort of am, after 40 years of this stuff.
