This is one of the places I would stick a 455ci Buick. If not, perhaps a 383 crate motor.

I vote for the 383 stroker, Throw a set of upgraded Vortec heads on her, Isky 270 Mega cam, Edlebrock RPM Airgap, Holley 750, Headers with true dual exhaust, Good HEI, and you will have a motor that will pull what ya got, yet still a cruiser. Make sure you get a 2200 stall and have the 700R4 set correctly and the TVS cable.
Keep us posted. The build I just gave you is mild and very streetable yet lots of power.
