I don't mind rolling under a truck then bench pressing out an old three speed stick, even one with a tailhousing overdrive. Easy enough, well, easy enough when I was a young spry rooster.
Working with a big truck four speed, I get to looking for my roll around transmission jack and am very mindful of my fingers.
Looking up at an automatic transmission, I take to thinking about road kill possum.
Best toy I bought for myself, FriedGreenTmater, is a professional level car lift. Should have done this years back but I was young then, thought myself a Brahman bull. What a treat to be able to walk around under a truck on a car lift.
