you can stroke your 283 with a 327 crank and turn into a 316 with plenty of power Im guessin you probally already have the small chamber double hump heads which will definately help and you can get pistons for a 9:5- 10:5 ratio,, you dont really need racing fuel unless your over 10:1, and they do like rpm's..
