2nd Note to 1-ton axles:
If the Swap to the newer and heavier suspension is a GO, then one has to cut and widen the stock fender 4", to match the changes in the wheel tread [width of the axles], without affecting the standard truck appearances. I don't work in a body shop, but having both time and experiece in metal working, this will be well thought out before any action is taken. Appearances are decieving. I am used to creating 1-of-a-kind things, and driving them on the hiway as if nothing is wrong. After all, our 'babies' are a work in progress...
