I agree with the literal defintion of original, but I have also been guilty of calling Old Buck original.
I once heard of a guy who cut wood for 40 years using the same axe; he only changed the handle three times and the head twice.
I'm not quite that guy, but previous owner's and I have changed a few things over the years to keep Old Buck rollin' down the road.
