Another thought, went to the ATHS show in Hutchinson KS this year. They had a building with several GM sponsored restorations. The GM Heritage division or something like that. While they were all very nice looking, It was amazing to hear "people in the know" that could pick apart tons of details, incorrect parts, and reproduction parts that did not live up to the original standards. My point on this one is, "If the original manufacturer doesn't have the resources to find and restore one to as close to perfection as possible, how tough could it be for the un-sponsored enthusiast?"
