I commend you for using something other than an SBC. The caddy 500 is a good torque monster, and there are plenty of low $ performance tips.
The bell housing cross member will need to be removed based on test fitting of my BBO in my '48. I will be making a new rear cross member, and the front engine mounts will be attached to my IFS crossmember for a 3-pt mounting system
That is all I can offer at this point.
