If I remember right, these frames are just about straight. Rather than re-engineer a stock frame, why not build your own? There was a guy around a couple of years ago who did his own to mount an IFS and it turned out well if I recall. Start from scratch and put the crossmembers where needed, as dictated by engine/trans and diff.
