To check the cap you put it to your ear NOT TOO CLOSE and open and close the points you can hear it archin'
To cleck the points ...put new ones in
Hold the rotor and try to turn it
Bring it up to tdc with the valves closed!Move the dist in opp. rotation.When the points crack thats close
But FIRST PULL THE COIL WIRE AND LOOK FOR GREEN STUFF!!!!
Is the coil Hot?? That's bad!!!!!!
