It's not exactly safe but what if you jack the rear end up so the tires are about 3 inches off the ground(make sure to set the brakes and/or put some chucks in front of it)then stay safely to the side and have a friend nudge it off the jack.With the motor off you might be able to better pinpoint the noise. :confused:
