I should have said SFI - sequential fuel injection.

Keep in mind I work in the modern emissions engines area so we target very tight air/fuel control so the repeatability I need and in a production line environment (so no tweaking to deal with production variables) is much more stringent than any 235 or 261 really requires. Most injectors I’ve worked with need between 12 and 18ms to deliver full-throttle fuel while still being able to deliver light throttle and idle fuel repeatedly enough, and at 5000 RPM that equates to between 360 and 540 crank degrees.

There are some difficulties I see with sequential or multipoint injection on a Stovebolt, one being that the outer two intake pairs have a 240-480 degree pattern, where the middle port has a 360-360 degree pattern but without runner separation like the 250/292 or the 12-port Stovebolt heads have.
