Kevin, that method loads the torque tube downward with several hundreds pounds of vehicle weight since there's a pivot built into the axle housing mounts. It's not the same as supporting an open driveline vehicle under the springs. Disconnecting a torque tube with weight on it can get deadly dangerous.
