So on with the great motor mount debate. After considering all of my options I decided to make new side mounts and use the aftermarket style urethane mounts. I pulled the trans and bell housing last night and blocked the engine in place removing the side mounts and rubber engine mounts. I took some preliminary measurements and determined the side mounts need to be 3/8" longer at accommodate the urethane mounts. I'll need to mock up some templates and check for fit but once done I should be able to fab up the side mounts this week. I'll post pictures of my struggles later.
