Hello folks;

Well, I am exhausted.
Sorry bad pun, and actually it is the truck that is exhausted.

Exciting, yes!

I used stainless steel for the durability, I should never have to worry about exhaust again. I debated on galvanized But felt the extra cost was worth it. Cost was pretty up there, the flowmaster, 2.5” SS Install kit which comes with a selection of the pre-bend and straight pipes as well as hangers and other bits. The mufflers are Magnaflow, Type 50, Delta flow. Cost was about 950.00 for materials and another 285.00 for the install.
The install took 9.5 hours and was a little tricky to get the runs over the differential. Initially we were going to run under the diff, but I preferred to go over to minimize the potential for hitting stuff as the truck is low. The running boards will have a ride height of 8” so angled curbs and speed bumps will have to be navigated carefully.
A small nod to my late Father, the exhaust tips came from his garage and are antiques. They were still wrapped in the original plastics and had a price tag of 3.25 from London Drugs, I think they were bought sometime in the 80’s. London drugs is a drug/electronics and housewares store and I never knew they sold auto parts.

Have a peek at the pictures and you may notice a little “extra run” which are the electric exhaust cutouts. I chose the type 50 mufflers as they are on the quieter end of the spectrum but should have that rumble everyone’s loves. The cutouts are fun for me so I can tune out the loud stereos and bikes, etc!
