Drop the drive shaft out of the truck from U-joint to U-joint (the slip joint should now be in the middle of the shaft, right?). Then take the shaft with the u-joints on both ends and the slip in the middle to the drive shaft shop and they will shorten it based on the measurement you took between the two yoke u-joints that are still on the truck.
