Denny's post/quote refers to a stock Stovebolt.

Your set up is not stock.

My accepting the challenge was tongue in cheek. I have nothing to prove to anyone really. You are correct and I nearly went back to withdraw my post because mine is not factory. Yet I sensed that the OP wants better gearing and that's why he asked if the T5 would work in a 1 ton. The OP isn't asking for 20 MPG from a factory Stovebolt so I thought my comments might be worthwhile.
