Im sure the Auto Meter one was fully stand alone and would not require any other connections other than dash light, power, ground and a heater power lead. Data log system optional.
I read this as well, and it seems to me it is a standalone kit with no ECM necessary. This would mean the ECM circuitry that is talked about on some of the websites must be in the gauge itself. Sounds to me like a worthwhile kit.
