There was an OTC 4 gas analyzer identical to the one I used in my shop for several years on Ebay recently, and not too expensive. That one can be used with a moderately-sized inverter for road testing. It measures O2, CO2, CO, and unburned hydrocarbons. That approach makes sense- - - -trying to make an O2 sensor work without the associated ECM support and a feedback loop system is ridiculous. Whine about it all you want- - - -there's a reason it took approximately 6 years for manufacturers like GM, Chrysler and Ford to come up with a workable closed loop fuel system once the Clean Air Act of 1968 mandated it.
