OK. I can agree that it "should" have a service life of over two years. But does it come with a warrantee for 2 years? If not, I don't know why one should expect that the vendor warrantee anything. He can discontinue the product, but that really doesn't make him "responsible" to pay anyone back or to donate something. Maybe he can work out a replacement with the manufacturer, but that would be up to him if he wanted to take on the task.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, but "Buyer Beware" messages isn't the way to go. I'm sure there is a return policy. They are there for a reason.
