Most unusual weld I know about was also on the Casmir Pulaski, there was a dwarf/little person (whatever the correct term is now a days) that would shimmy back behind the gear and weld whatever needed welding. All you would see is a line going into the back of something. He also did tank/valve inspections. Them access holes where very small.
He had the habit of not coming out the same way he would go in.. so you'd be waiting for him to crawl out but he's come up behind you and ask 'what are looking at'. Funny for the first 2-3 times.
