Yesterday was a banner day! I got to weld up an Excavator! I just turned the voltage waaaay down to B on my SP175+ and slowed the wire feed down, and VIOLA!!
Sometimes, a small child gets a little crazy with their toys and Uncle Deve to the rescue! The point is more that if you KNOW, really well, your MIG, you can get some amazing welds with amazing penetration to the point where you just know its perfect. The sound you hear is KEY. It all comes together. Even on a 50 year old Excavator!
