Yes, I did upgrade it myself, They are available now from Summit racing. These are much better than the old one that was an A.M. signal, they changed to an F.M. signal & had a devil of a time getting the FCC to ok the new one. It is a little pricey & you will have to change the plug in your winch to the newer plug, The tech guys sent me the new plug along with wiring diagram. You might look into buying the Harbor Freight wireless controller & see about wiring that one in, I believe it is about $150.00 cheaper
The wireless is great, you can steer a non-op from far away & can walk around the vehicle to make sure everything is aligned without stopping the winch!
