Deve, I can only suspect you are not reading all of the responses on this thread. It has been explained that Tom used a 2.8 V6 distributor. He modifies the shaft, housing, and installs a correct gear for a 216,235,261. I can not say if he is using GM modules or after market. This brings up a point I have been thinking about while reading all of the posts. Most of the parts people are buying to replace or rebuild these HEI distributors are made in China. Most people do not pay the higher price for GM replacement parts. So how reliable are these parts?
