I think everyone here is giving you a non bias answer. People are telling you what works for them. People are listing possible drawbacks for each system and why others setups might be better than others.
If i never had issues with my worn out old points i would still be running them and swear by them. Like i said before, I had pertronix installed and it ran great but i don't want to be down waiting for a possible module or special coil if mine fails. I then switched just about 4 hours ago to the GM HEI system from tom and I'm speechless. I am doing up my own thread about the install in a few min. Keep an eye out for it.
