Thanks guys. I don't mean to be persistent, well, yes I do, but from an engineering perspective, the modifications to old distributors I have seen look alot like the Pertronix module.. evidenced here:

Jason did an amazing job, but what I am not seeing from his or Toms modifications is that large diameter ugly distributor cap purportedly made that way because of the high energy aspects of the system and without it, arcing would occur.

So, thats why I keep persisting here. I wonder if we are talking about two completely different animals. One is an electronic points conversion that runs our Stovebolts just fine due to the low rpms we run at. The other is a true High Energy Ignition that handles the higher rpm engines better???

The latter would be a great install into the Stovebolt engine and would run just fine, only it's not really needed because our engines don't benefit from it's higher RPM design. Maybe?
