Why did GM waste all that money putting heavy wire (10 gauge) on millions of OEM-equipped HEI units? This is yet another bunch of self-appointed experts declaring themselves smarter than the engineers who spent years of R&D developing a system that works. When my research engineer brother does his computer modeling projects for the automobile manufacturers he bills his time out at $1,000.00 a day. He can predict the total lifespan of a part without ever physically building it. Do hotrodders have access to that sort of sophisticated computer program?
